Avanta Consulting has been retained by our client who is a young, Vancouver born company who specialize in essential oils and diffusers blends. They emphasizes health and wellness, approaching each day with relentless optimism and encourage you to explore your own potential through the simple act of taking time for yourself—using botanicals, plant oils, and rituals.

The Operations Manager has an affinity for wellness to support the team in the development of their essential oil products. The ideal candidate will work with the COO and finance team to help keep vituvi running like a well-oiled machine. The position includes responsibilities from product planning and manufacturing planning to vendor sourcing and freight and logistics coordination. Most importantly, the Operations Manager will build relationships throughout the organization to ensure that all things Business Operations are running smoothly.

This person will have the opportunity to make a sizable impact. Oh, and a love for coffee and things that smell great is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weekly & monthly inventory planning taking into account current weekly sales and vendor demand forecasts
  •  Allocating inventory with online, wholesale and partnerships teams
  • Planning production of current inventory and new product lines
  • Managing freight and logistics for raw component and inventory via Flexport. This includes building packing lists, commercial invoices, customs forms.
  • Managing cost of good and unit economics, some basic excel modeling will be required
  • Sourcing new components and suppliers for future product lines
  • Continually working on improving the operations of the business and finding efficiencies and savings in vendors and logistics

Successful candidates will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree, in a related field of study, or equivalent functional experience
  • 5-7 years’ experience in production and operations
  • Strong analytic skills including Google Sheets or MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Able to travel to Asia and USA
